The F.M. Kirby Research Center was designed and constructed to be an optimized environment for functional brain imaging. 

The focal point of the Center's fMRI resource are the Philips 1.5T and 3.0T MRI Scanner systems with the some of the most advanced technologies available. For example, the 1.5T scanner combines dual channel, multi-frequency spectroscopy capability with state-of-the-art fast imaging capabilities, while the 3.0T Scanner has 80mT/m gradients.  The magnet systems and computing support are described in more detail through the links below.
