Kirby Research Center - Preparing for a Visit

Participants in research studies at the Kirby Center are scheduled through the offices of the principal investigators on active Kirby Center research protocols. These offices will provide specific descriptions of the procedures and any preparations that need to be made prior to arriving to the Center. Please contact the investigator's department if you have any questions. Below are some general considerations relevant to all studies performed in the MRI environment. Please review the information prior to arriving at the Kirby Research Center.
Before arriving at your appointment time * Ask the investigator to explain the procedures and any contra-indications for your particular imaging study. * Inquire about the duration of the imaging study so that you can arrange appropriate transportation. * Dress in comfortable clothing that is free of metal components and accessories. * Please review a map for directions to the Kirby Research Center. We are located on the first floor of the Kennedy Krieger Institute on North Broadway, Baltimore.
