Project Title: MRI Studies of Medial Temporal Lobe Function.

This study uses structural and functional magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to examine the structure and function of brain regions critical for normal memory. The goal of this study is develop memory tasks that will selectively activate subregions of the anterior temporal lobe. Participants in the study will be young controls. The ultimate aim, however, is to develop memory tasks that can be used for the early identification of patients with Alzheimer’s disease. The Principal Investigator (PI) is Dr. Marilyn Albert, and the Co-PI is Dr. John Desmond.
